Once you have the solution, you will finally clear your skin of acne once and for all. I know firsthand the frustration of really bad acne, and feeling helpless to do anything to cure it. But persistence pays off. So let me tell you about an acne solution that eventually led to my marriage.

I know you're familiar with the George Costanza character on Seinfeld. Well, there was an episode where George looked back at every decision he had ever made and concluded they were all wrong. He came to realize that he could no longer trust his instincts. That's when he decided that from now on, he would always do the opposite of every thought that came to him. It's exactly at that time that his life changed for the better, and he became successful in every part of his life. If you remember that episode you're probably smiling now. I sure am!

Recalling that I had little success in relationships, I decided to try George's approach. Everything I had done before to impress the ladies was half-hearted,and failed. To be honest, I know I was self conscious about my acne. So, like George, I had to counter, and do the exact opposite of every thought, feeling, and reflex I felt.

I was interested in a particular girl at college. So I had to put my doubts aside to talk to her. The first conversation was brief, but at least I had broken the ice. The second conversation lasted perhaps 15 minutes. Again, it was difficult doing the opposite, but I stuck to it. About a week later, I invited her to an upcoming party, and she accepted. I was very excited! Maybe even too excited. As I realized from past experience, one of the causes of my acne outbreaks was stress. Bad luck for me. I was a week from my big date, and my face was looking worse by the hour. I thought I was finished.

I was beginning to experience those old doubts – and even considered canceling, when a UPS package arrived. It was an online purchase I had made when I had decided to start my new “George approach”. I had almost given up on acne solutions, but friends I knew who had acne – notice I said had, all consistently recommended one choice, ClearPores.

I've felt most claims regarding products were usually exaggerated. To my astonishment, it did clear my skin before my big date. I was relieved! I could go to this party and enjoy myself and make the sort of impression I never quite could before, by being myself. And that night, I did!

After that successful, acne free date, we continued dating for the next 2 years. And believe it or not, the self conscious guy that I was is no more. We got married almost 1 year ago and we now have a beautiful baby boy. Life is wonderful!

All this was possible because of a new approach, a belief in myself, and of course, ClearPores - which saved my Saturday night, and many more since!

PS – If anyone from ClearPores reads this: thanks a million!

Herbs for Skin

An article I posted regarding vitamins for skin health seemed incomplete without mentioning the very benefits contained within ClearPores – in particular, the beneficial herbal ingredients, and ability to clear skin, rebalance hormones and minimize the occurrence of acne.

Dandelion (root) Taraxacum offcinale

Dandelion is a common meadow herb of the Asteraceae or sunflower family that has general detoxifying qualities, making it effective in the treatment of skin blemishes. This common yard plant contains much that is beneficial to our bodies: bitter compounds, choline, inulin, minerals such as calcium, sodium, silicic acid, sulfur, and a high concentration of potassium and in the fresh leaves. In skin care and cosmetics, it helps clear up acne, eczema, and other skin eruptions.

Burdock (root) Arctium lappa

Burdock is a thistled plant native to the Northern USA, Europe and Asia. The roots and leaves of this plant have been used for centuries as a remedy against skin cancer, acne, eczema, and other skin ailments and diseases. It is mildly antibiotic and can help restore smoothness to the skin.

Yellow Dock (root) Rumex crispus

Yellow dock, a general systemic toner, when combined with sarsaparilla, provides a treatment for chronic skin disorders. Its active ingredients such as the astringent tannis and the antimicrobial properties of the purgative anthraquinones combine to make decoctions of the plant useful in treating skin diseases such as psoriasis and eczema, as well as skin rashes.

Sarsaparilla (root) Smiilax offcinalls

Sarsaparilla is a perennial trailing vine with prickly stems indigenous to tropical America and the West Indies. Generally classified as a blood purifier, sarsaparilla is combined with yellow dock to correct chronic skin ailments, especially psoriasis. Individuals suffering from psoriasis have been found to have high levels of endotoxins (cell wall fragments of normal gut bacteria) circulating in the bloodstream. Sarsaponin, one of sarsaparilla's main steroids was found to bind to these endotoxins and remove them, thus relieving the afflicted person from psoriasis. Other health conditions associated with high endotoxin levels include eczema, arthritis, and ulcerative colitis, and can be alleviated also with the use of sarsaparilla.

Purple Coneflower (powder) Echinacea Purpurea

Echinacea acts as a stimulant to the immune system by increasing the production of specific types of white blood cells and strengthening human cell walls so bacteria and viruses have a harder time getting into cells. Using this herb can protect one against inflammatory conditions of the skin. These wildflowers originally grew wild on the plains of the United States and Canada, but they are now being cultivated in Europe and parts of Asia, as well as in North America. They are taken orally to enhance immune system response and to lessen the duration and symptoms of colds and flu. When applied to the skin, they can relieve conditions such as eczema, insect bites, and psoriasis. Purple Coneflower can also inhibit bacteria and the formation of pus.

Red Clover (blossom) Trifolium Pratense

Traditionally used to expel toxins from the bloodstream, red clover is prized for being an effective treatment of skin problems because of its high dosage of vitamin B-complex. In folk medicine, fresh red clover flowers have been chopped or mashed and applied directly to skin inflammations such as insect bites. More recently, creams, lotions, or ointments containing red clover extract have been under observation for treating psoriasis and other skin conditions.

Licorice (root) Glycyrrhiza glaba

The ingestion of licorice in the proper quantities reduces inflammation and redness of the skin. It has also been used in poultices for treatment of dermatitis and skin infections. Licorice is used in combination with other cleansing and healing herbs as an emollient also used a cosmetic skin lightener.

Atlantic Kelp (powder) Ascophyllum nodosum

Atlantic Kelp is rich in compounds that have specific use in the cosmetic industry, such as polygalactosides, fucose polymers and ursolic acid. These compounds contain abundant non-essential and essential amino acids such as proline, glycine and lycine -- all of which are also found in the elastic fibers of the skin -- and maintain and improve skin elasticity by improving hydration. This unique seaweed grows exclusively on the North Atlantic coast of North America and Europe and is highly valued as a detoxifier and blood purifier. Its anti-inflammatory properties also benefit blemishes of the skin.

Cayenne (40 HU) Capsicum Fructescens

The hot and spicy taste of cayenne pepper is primarily due to an ingredient known as capsaicin which when applied topically to the skin can relieve pain and itching by acting on sensory nerves. This same dulling property can reduce itching and inflammation associated with psoriasis. Cayenne functions as a carrier agent that can stimulate and assist the movement of the other ingredients to the sebaceous glands and pores of the skin.

High Effective and safe ingredients

These ingredients are perfectly safe and their effects on the human skin have been thoroughly tested by both ClearPores experts and independent researchers. However, be warned that not all products available on the market are made from the same safe ingredients. ProActiv is one of the best-known anti-acne products, but it contains Benzoyl Peroxide. This chemical ingredient is extremely strong and has many reported side effects, such as skin irritation, blistering, crusting and rashes. Another well-known product is Vilantae, which is sold as safe herbal pills. However, some customers complained of headaches, diarrhea and stomach problems. Prescription drugs are even worse than this, which is why they should never be taken without physician supervision. However, you can avoid strong chemicals, hazardous products and risks to your health with ClearPores, a safe solution to your acne-related problems.

Why ClearPores?

In a previous post I acknowledged a product by name, and since then, some friends have asked why I did it? Well... if you've never had acne – I mean acne that socially impacts you're life, you're likely not to understand the reasons why. I have so few pictures from my teenage years, that I could tell someone I was a prisoner during that time, and few people could prove me wrong. The sad truth is, I was. I should have disregarded my appearance and just moved on. But if you begin each day hating what you see in the mirror, you tend to withdraw. If you're there now, you know exactly what I'm talking about – you know the reasons“why”!
I want you to know something right now. If you buy ClearPores, or you move on in your search and find something else, I hope whatever you find gives you the level of satisfaction I have experienced. I feel it's more important that you solve your acne problem and get on with your life, then you try this product because I say so! There are a myriad of chemical and herbal products available on the market, with more launched every year. My point is this, with the lost years, false promises, and wasted money – to have finally found something that works, why not spread the word?
I long for a world where character supersedes appearance, but the continual coverage of Britney, Paris, and Lindsay tells me it'll be awhile yet! In the mean time while searching for your acne solution, I hope you seriously consider ClearPores. When I ordered this product, I was surprised to learn it came with what I believe is the most generous guarantee in this market. They suggest you try ClearPores for 90 days, and if you're not satisfied, you can return the products (empty or not) within 180 days of purchase, for a full refund!
Now, I didn't know when I purchased ClearPores that I had a full 6 months to decide whether I was happy with the product - otherwise I wouldn't have hesitated before ordering. What I've learned since is that less than 1% of ClearPores customers request a refund. Also if you have any questions, there is 24/7 customer support. The other surprise for me was no packaging or shipping charges - yes, the price you see, is the price you pay! And that orders of 2 or more units, come with free bonuses. But, the best bonus of all was to be able to finally stop searching for an acne solution. I have found what I've been looking for - and it works!

Vitamins for Skin

It's not just your body which needs vitamins for health - vitamins for skin are essential for health also. You may not be aware of this, but many vitamins are necessary for improving your skin's appearance and improving your ability to minimize the occurrence of acne and other skin ailments.

You've probably heard how beneficial Vitamin A, and more specifically beta-carotene, is for the eyes, but in addition to this, it is also good for your skin. Vitamin A is important in repairing and protecting your skin tissues. A decrease in the required amount of Vitamin A, will immediately be manifested by the body, especially by the skin itself. Flakiness and drying of the complexion is a good example the signs of Vitamin A deficiency. To avoid these consequences, it is best to take foods that are rich in Vitamin A, such as fruits and vegetables.

In addition to food supplements, the external application of Vitamin A is also a plus. These supplements can be taken in the form of lotions and creams, which help control the rapid spread of acne, wrinkles and unwanted facial lines. Aside from these important benefits, Vitamin A also helps you avoid psoriasis, the symptoms of which include the swelling and scaling of the skin. Retin-A, which is a derivative of Vitamin A, is used in the formulation of retinols. Retinol is an over the counter drug that is used as a treatment for aging. Topical retinol with Vitamin C is also found to reverse skin changes, which are caused by photo-aging and chronological aging.

Next is Vitamin B or Vitamin B Complex. The most essential "B" to remember in Vitamin B complex is Biotin. This nutrient is responsible for the formation of the nails, hair, and skin cells. Biotin is found in various types of food such as eggs, rice, oatmeal, and bananas. Your body also creates its own biotin.

However, the fact that your body produces biotin doesn't mean that you should stop taking food and other supplements rich in Biotin and Vitamin B complex. A lack of this essential nutrient may result in dermatitis or skin inflammation accompanied by itchiness and redness of the skin. Hair loss is also another symptom of Vitamin B complex deficiency.

There are creams available which contain B vitamins. These creams restore radiance to your skin as they moisturize skin cells and improve your entire body' s skin tone. Aside from biotin, niacin is another B vitamin which helps restore moisture to the skin. They work by relieving dry and chaffed skin, also serving as a skin lightener, helping to alleviate blotchy skin.

Vitamins C and E are also good for your skin. Individually, Vitamin C helps protect your skin from skin cancer normally caused by very long and frequent exposures to the sun. Vitamin E, on the other hand, is responsible for the reduction of wrinkles and photo damage. A 400 mg dose of natural Vitamin E every day would help prevent this damage and enhance the skin's texture. Together, these two vitamins work in reducing DNA damages in your skin cells. Researchers have concluded that antioxidants help defend your body's skin cells from further DNA damage. The vitamins C and E also minimize damages brought about by free radicals, which are detrimental byproducts of pollution, smoke, and exposure to too much sunlight. These free radicals destroy elastin and collagen fibers that are essential your skin's structure.

Formulated lotions, which include a combination of vitamins C and E can help restore lost vitamins and make your skin healthier looking. Good sources of vitamin C include broccoli, bell peppers, citrus fruits, cauliflower, and other green leafy vegetables. There are also a lot of vitamin C supplements available as over the counter drugs, of which it is beneficial to take between 500 to 1,000mgs per day. For Vitamin E, nuts, olives, asparagus, vegetable oils, and spinach are good sources. Unfortunately, you cannot meet your vitamin E requirements exclusively by taking these foods. You can supplemented your intake with creams, lotions, and pills, to meet the required dose of 400 units a day. Just remember, an excessive intake of vitamin E may also be harmful.

And finally, no discussion on vitamins for skin would be complete without mentioning the often overlooked Vitamin K. Although it's affects on your skin are limited, Vitamin K does have one major benefit which most everyone will appreciate. This benefit is the reduction of dark circles formed under the eyes and the appearance of bruises. It can also be combined with Vitamin A to form a potent formula for lightening the circles under your eyes.

Tips to Control Acne

Be Gentle
The first thing to remember to control acne is to be gentle with your face. Don’t wash your face with hot or cold water. Use lukewarm water and a mild cleanser twice a day, and following any physical activity. When you do work out, avoid regular soap and similar products which are filled with harsh cleansers and detergents. Wash you face gently in circular motions, and rinse thoroughly. Pad you face dry and avoid scrubbing. Scrubbing could open thousands of invisible lesions in your skin which become an ideal breeding ground for bacterial formation.

Keep Your Hands Away from Your Skin
Although it is against your instincts, try to keep your hands away from pimples and other lesions. Avoid touching your face with your fingers or putting your face against objects which collect skin oil residue like the telephone receiver. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated. To control bacteria, wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as makeup or treatment creams.

For the Guys
Before you shave, softening the whiskers is important. Washing your face with soap and water first will help, and you can leave a warm washcloth on your face for a few minutes prior to shaving, this will soften the hairs and open your pores making it easier to shave. I have actually started to shave in the shower with a mirror that sticks to the wall. This way, more water can run over your face after you shave so you can wash it better, reducing acne outbreaks.

For the Girls
Remove your makeup before going to sleep. When buying makeup, be sure you choose brands that say "non-comedogenic" or "non-acnegenic" on the label. Throw out makeup which smells or looks different from when you first bought it.

For Everyone
Keep your hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores. Always protect your skin from the sun. You may think a tan masks your acne, however it's only temporary. Tanning can cause your body to produce extra sebum (oil), which will actually worsen your acne. Also, when you wear glasses or sunglasses, be sure you clean them frequently to keep oil from clogging the pores around your eyes and nose.

Following these simple tips will help minimize the occurrence of acne, and reduce the need for alternative acne treatments.

What is acne ?

Having acne does not qualify a person to fully understand it. I will however do my best to explain what I have learned. Usually when you have your first outbreak you're told what it's not. I still read stress has a limited impact on acne development however, I know what I experience, and yes – if there are extreme challenges occurring in my life – an increased acne treatment regime is going to be necessary. So, now I'll try to define the condition a bit for you.

Acne is the commonly used name for pores clogged by sebum (oil, fat), pimples, nodules or cysts that can appear on the face, neck, shoulders, chest, back, upper arms and upper legs. Before our wedding, my chest needed attention, before my son's birth - it was my neck. Fortunately ClearPores made short work of both occurrences. So for me, stress seems to be the common denominator.

Both teenagers and many adults suffer from acne for varying lengths of time. The condition is not confined to any age group, race, or sex. It affects hundreds of millions of people around the world. The biggest problems with acne are the unpleasant look of pimples and the scars they can leave behind.

Types of Acne

Although pimples are by far the most common form of acne and the one most people suffer from, there are other forms as well. The simplest form is acne vulgaris, which features only comedones (blackheads/ whiteheads), the simplest of lesions. Lesions are small patches of skin affected by acne. Acne lesions are the external form of comedones, the sebaceous follicles plugged by excess sebum.

Comedones are known as blackheads or whiteheads, depending on whether the pore is open or not. Blackheads are pores whose distended openings are blocked by a mixture of keratin (an extremely strong protein which is a major component in skin, hair, nails) and sebum that is blackened at the surface. Whiteheads are closed pores filled with the secretion of the sebaceous gland that swells underneath the tissue. Comendones are the usual target for picking and squeezing. However, opening a follicle is likely to result in a slight infection. An open pore is an entry point for all kinds of bacteria.

Papules are a small, solid usually inflammatory elevation of the skin that does not contain pus. Very small papules can also appear in clusters, due to the tissue’s response to acne.

Pustules are small inflamed elevations of the skin that are filled with pus. The pus is a combination of bacteria, white blood cells and dead skin cells. Pustules are usually formed around sebaceous follicles and hair.

Macula is a red spot on the skin left behind by an acne lesion. Maculae are flat, red and stand out against the surrounding skin. A group of maculae can give the face an inflamed appearance.

Nodules are a solid lesion, one of the most painful lesions caused by acne. Nodules can extend into the deeper layers of the skin and are known to lead to tissue destruction. They can be very painful to remove and leave scars behind. Nodular acne is a severe form of acne that is usually treated with isotretinonin (a substance obtained from Vitamin A).

Cysts are lesions which contain a semi-liquid pus similar to that found in pustules. However, cysts are larger than pustules and can become infected. Cysts also extend deeper into the skin and leave scar tissue behind. Nodulocystic acne is probably the most severe type of acne. It is very resistant to treatment but does respond to isotretinoin.

It's important to remember that acne cures do not work overnight. As I've stated, my own experience with ClearPores has been very positive. Just remember, you may require continued acne treatment even after the acne has cleared up, or start the treatment again should you have another outbreak.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the terms of our commitment to your privacy.

PERSONS OR PARTIES COVERED This Privacy Policy is intended to cover all visitors to this website, all subscribers to lists or newsletters whether paid or unpaid, all members or affiliates whether paid or unpaid, and all customers.
